Casa Lucio opened its doors in 1974, but the history of this famous restaurant begins more earlier when Lucio Blazquez with 12 years old started to work in the restaurant, at that time with the name of"Meson El Segoviano". After 40 years working in the restaurant Lucio bought the restaurant and created one of the most iconic restaurants in Madrid, Casa Lucio.

Casa Lucio maintains the essence of traditional taverns.

In an area of Madrid where time has passed unnoticed and streets seem to have turned into a scene of the 50's. Casa Lucio mantains the essence of traditional taverns. A very polite service and close attention to the clients.

Actually Lucio opened another three restaurants, "El Lando", "Viejo Madrid" and "La taberna de los huevos de Lucio" This last two just close to Casa Lucio



Many are the personalities that have visited Casa Lucio. Leaders of countries as Bill Clinton, Juan Carlos I, presidents of Spain, Hollywood stars as Tom Cruise, Will Smith, and many others have been cautivated by the cuisine of Lucio. 


There is an anecdote with Woody Allen, who has a special preference for the restaurant, and that after have taken dinner in Casa Lucio, he ordered food to take with him in his return to the United States.

Good quality of the products and the way Lucio make them is the just the secret. Capon en Pepitoria (Capon Stew)

Another long standing and acclaimed recipe. In XIX century, Queen Isabel II has predilection for this dish, so it became so famous in the court and aristocracy's banquets. Casa Lucio decided to include it as tribute and now it is a classic.



Callos a la Madrileña (Madrid style tripes)

In a genuine Madrid restaurant like Casa Lucio, the callos are very present and they are just amazing!


Gambas al Ajillo (Shrimps in garlic sauce)

So many media includes this ensaladilla in its best lists. Perfect for tapas and sharing.



Rabo de Toro (Oxtail)

This traditional recipe from Andalucia is just another dish very well prepared in Casa Lucio. The impresssive soft meat, sign of slow cooking, with it increadible spiced sauce is indeed very recommendable.


Pan Perdido (Pain Perdu)

In not so many places you can taste unique desserts. Originally from France, this kind of french toast pudding is a nice ending for a nice meal!
